An Attack On the States Vonnegut uses satire, from innocent implication and visiting card to burlesque, sarcasm and cosmic caustic remark to attack American Indian lodge in the 1950s and 1960s. Vonnegut compares American shade to that of the Puritans, who were passing intolerant of anything different and posses the simulacrum of conformity.
